William "Bill" Steven Rhoades, cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 19th, 2024, in Taft, California, at the age of 70.

Born on July 16th, 1953, in Bakersfield, California, Bill lived a life of adventure, laughter, and a sense of duty. He served his country proudly as a member of the Army, later transitioning into a successful career as an HVAC technician and earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Bill also dedicated his time and efforts as a correctional officer.

Bill's passions extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace and joy in fishing and hunting. His love for collecting coins and other rare items reflected his appreciation for life's unique treasures.

Above all, Bill cherished his role as a family man. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carol Rhoades, his daughter Aletha Caldwell, son-in-law Carl Caldwell, and four adoring granddaughters: Mackenzie, Janelle, Carly, and Claire. He devoted himself to raising his daughter and thoroughly enjoyed spoiling his Granddaughters.

Known for his comically grumpy yet caring demeanor, Bill touched the lives of many. His generosity extended even beyond his lifetime, as he was a donor, leaving behind a legacy of compassion.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at First Baptist Church, located at 220 North St in Taft, California, on April 6th at 2:00 PM.

Bill's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
