Wayne Warkentin was born on February 18, 1952.  He passed away on June 26, 2024.  He attended Addams Elementary School, Fresno High School and was a graduate of California State University, Fresno.

Wayne had many passions in life. He loved baseball and enjoyed reciting many statistical facts about it.  He was a fan of old rock and roll music, especially the Grateful Dead.  He was involved in many church activities.  His latest passion was performing poetry readings of poems he had written.

Wayne left this earth suddenly from a place that he loved.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Mary Warkentin, and brother, Scott.   He is survived by siblings Renetta, Donald, and Ralph.

A graveside service will be held on July 12, 2024, at 9:00 am at the Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno.  It will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 at the Campus Bible Church, Palm Campus, at 222 E. Fountain Way
