Ruth Ellen Nunn (1937-2024) Ruth Ellen Nunn, 87, of Fresno, CA., transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on May 1st, 2024.

She was born in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec, Canada in 1937 to Harry and Sheila Eva Nunn. Ruth moved to the United States in December of 1961, and remained a resident of Fresno, CA. for the remainder of her life, where she moved in 1986 to pursue her career. Ruth was very passionate about her profession as a Master Hearing Aid Dispenser and she excelled in her role within this industry and devoted 26 years of her life to Beltone Hearing Aids. Ruth loved her patients just as much as they loved her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings, Garry, Fred, and Eva Nunn, and is survived by her three daughters, Evelyn Bankston, Gail Erickson, and Sheila Erickson, and her son Ray Burris, as well as her sisters Linda, Lois, and June Nunn, and her brothers, Lyle and Harry Nunn. Ruth was the proud matriarch of approximately 20 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Although Ruth loved to golf, shop, and bake, her favorite roles were that of a grandmother and mother. She treasured her time with her grandchildren and was always there for them and her children, never failing to answer their calls or to help them in whatever ways she was able to.

Ruth and her long-time partner/friend, John Clanton ("Grandpa John-John"), were practically inseparable and they shared many memories together. Ruth also had so much love for her pets - her tortoise ("Turtle") and her Doberman Pincher ("Morgan") whom she treated like family. It was very evident that her pets loved her dearly, in return.

Ruth will always be remembered for her faithful relationship with the Lord and the unending support and unconditional love that she always showed her family. We couldn't have asked for a better grandmother, mother, aunt, sister, and daughter, and we will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in our hearts forever as we lay her to rest knowing that she is now at peace.

In honor of Ruth, a viewing will be held on May 9th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Clovis Funeral Chapel located at 1302 Clovis Ave. Clovis, CA. 93612. The graveside service will be held on the 10th of May at 10:00 AM at the Clovis Cemetery District located at 305 N. Villa in Clovis, CA. 93612.
