Rachel Ann
Gutierrez
July 16, 1959 — April 5, 2026
Clovis
Rachel Ann Gutierrez was born on July 16, 1959, in Clovis, California, and passed away
peacefully on April 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old.
Rachel is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. She was preceded in
death by her mother, Ann Gutierrez, and her brother, Anthony Gutierrez.
A lifelong resident of Clovis, Rachel attended Clovis Unified Schools and graduated from Clovis
High School in 1978. During her youth, she performed with a folklórico dance group, reflecting
a deep and enduring love for music and dance that remained with her throughout her life. Her
rhythm and joyful spirit were unmistakable, and she brought that energy wherever she went.
Rachel dedicated herself to a variety of roles, including work with Fresno Juvenile Hall, the
Fresno Drive-In, and Special Olympics youth programs. In each setting, she was known for her
kindness, compassion, vivacious personality, and strength.
Rachel found great joy in music, especially the songs of Linda Ronstadt and Michael Jackson, as
well as in spending time with family and friends. Whether on road trips, sharing meals, or simply
enjoying the company of loved ones, she cherished connection and togetherness. She was known
for her warm smile, her love of her favorite comforts, and the way she made others feel
welcomed and valued. Her fondness for the color purple and her radiant spirit reflected the
brightness she carried within and shared with the world.
She also had deep compassion and love for animals, especially the stray cats she cared for with
tenderness and dedication. Rachel found happiness in life's simple pleasures, and her presence
made ordinary moments feel special.
Rachel will be remembered for her warmth, her joyful spirit, and the love she shared so freely
with others. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now
at peace, free from pain, reunited with loved ones, and dancing once again to her favorite songs.
Rachel, you are forever loved and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
