Melva Jean Lewis, also known to many as Auntie Jeannie, was suddenly taken from us on Wednesday March 27. She was born on June 26,1945 to Willie Pomona and Julia Hutchens. she was a tribal citizen with the North Fork Rancheria Tribe and lived in North Fork the majority of her life. On September 2, 1984 Melva married her longtime boyfriend of 10 years, Daniel "Donk" Lewis. They were together for 41 years when he passed on October 17, 2015. She loved the outdoors, traveling and bingo (a faithful player at the Clovis Bingo Hall). Her and her sister Cathy were well known for their acorn and Indian tacos. Melva is survived by her three sons Melvin Sr, Adam Jason and her daughter Norelva. Also, her grandchildren David Sr, Janine, Michael Jr, Melvin Jr, Harrison, Elaina, Julia, Jason and ten great grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews. Melva will be greatly missed by all.
