Mary Natividad Weatherby, born on September 8, 1936, in Fowler, CA, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, with a big smile on her face. She was the fifth child of twelve and lived a unique life that began in Fowler, CA, and took her to Berkeley, CA, where she attended the California School for the Deaf. It was in Berkeley where she met her future husband, Dwayne. After school, she returned to Fowler to help take care of her youngest brothers and nephew. In 1962, she reunited with and married Dwayne, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage and raised four daughters.

Mary was a resilient and adventurous woman who survived fatal childhood illnesses and adjusted to being away from home as a young child. She raised her daughters to be strong, independent women and lived a life full of adventures, travels, lifelong friends, and an amazing family. Known as a social butterfly, Mary loved to laugh, dance, sing, and was very competitive when playing games. Her presence was always welcomed at any gathering.

Mary was an excellent seamstress, creating quilts for all her loved ones. She was a devout Christian, loving the Lord with all her heart, and was beautiful inside and out. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her four daughters: Caroline Reed (Ben), Sherry Bejarano, Dorlene Durham (Kenny), and Marlene Wilkendorf (Greg); seven grandsons; three granddaughters; three great granddaughters; and a great grandson on the way. She also leaves behind many family members and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Weatherby, and grandson, Anthony Durham.
