Obituary

Mary Wallace, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in Fresno at Hinds Hospice on the evening of January 8.
Mary was born December 4, 1946 in Jefferson City Missouri, to Louis Loethen and Marie (Renterghem) Loethen.

Mary was a beloved soul, whose warmth, generosity, and love of color brought joy to everyone who knew her. Mary was known for her vibrant sense of style, her true beauty, and her thoughtful heart. She was athletic throughout her life up to the very end.  Mary loved the open road and found peace and excitement on road trips where good company, changing scenery and country music made every journey an adventure.

Mary had a true passion for shopping, not just for herself, but especially for others. Gift giving was Mary's love language. She took great care in choosing thoughtful presents, delighting in the happiness they brought to those she loved.

Mary shared a committed and loving marriage with her husband, Dick, who was the great love of her life. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and an active faith life. Mary was a pillar of strength and love for her husband, whom she supported with steadfast devotion throughout his journey of recovery through Alcoholics Anonymous. Her encouragement never wavered and she played an important role in his path toward healing and recovery.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years Richard B Wallace,  sisters Marty Domecq, Carolyn Held, and Alberta Forgone, her sons Kevin Wallace, Kyle Wallace (married to Rebecca Wallace), and Kasey Wallace (married to Michelle Wallace), her grandchildren Maria Wallace and twin brothers Payton and Elliot Wallace.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter Scarlet Hope, and sister Alma Chambers.
