Obituary

Lisa Diane Zazueta (1959 – 2026)

Lisa Zazueta passed away on April 29, 2026, in Fresno, California, at the age of 66. Lisa was born December 22, 1959 in Selma, California. She was the third daughter of Jacqueline Steele. Lisa was a gentle, warm and kind soul. She loved spending time with her family and cherished
being called Mama Lisa and Grandma Lisa.

Lisa met Carlos Zazueta, the love of her life, when she was just 15 years old while attending Clovis High School. They married five years later in 1980, beginning a 51-year journey as inseparable soulmates. Throughout their decades together, they were best friends who devoted themselves to their daughters and finding their greatest joy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Lisa is survived by her four loving daughters Marcie Zazueta, Sandy Zazueta, Sharlene Treas (Michael) and Jaycee Zazueta along with Carlos Zazueta. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Jessica, Brittany, Anthony, Ashley, Nathan, Benjamin and Isabella. Lisa was looking forward to meeting her first great grandchild due in the fall. Her memories will also be cherished by her sister Karen Lewis (Kenneth) and brother Robert Shaw (Renee) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Lisa is preceded in death by her mother Jacqueline Steele (2001); her sister Debye Hunter (2026); and her brother-in-law Craig Hunter (2025).

Everyone who knew Lisa knows how much she loved her daughters and the love of her life Carlos. She was a ruthless Dominoes player who hated to lose, enjoyed playing card games and Word Search, watching her talk shows, weekly family gatherings to watch sporting events and
her chocolate cake and Coke-Cola. She also loved watching her daughters play sports and would play ping pong with their friends.

Lisa lived with a lighthearted spirit and will be remembered for the way she made everyone feel like family. Whether she was sharing her love for Rock 'n' Roll, enjoying a lighthearted moment, or serving up her famous sweet tea or potato salad, her presence was a gift. We will dearly miss her thoughtful check-in calls and her signature "talk to ya later." She will be forever loved and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. While Lisa will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones.

Services will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 at Clovis Funeral Chapel, 1302 Clovis Avenue, Clovis, CA. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Services begin at noon immediately followed by a graveside service at Belmont Memorial Park.
