In Loving Memory of
Lisa Cathleen Montgomery
July 13, 1972 - July 13, 2026
Lisa Cathleen Montgomery, 54, of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on her birthday, July 13, 2026.
Born on July 13, 1972, in Fresno, California, Lisa was the beloved daughter of Darryl (Monty) and Mary Frances Montgomery. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. Her passion was dance and music. She was a great oboist. Wanting to play the bagpipes, she went to McLane for a semester to learn. She played the piccolo, sax, timpani, and on and on. She was in a band called Plague Mosaic playing in the Tower. Wanted a challenge; she was a Fire Fighter, serving at Sierra Blue Canyon, for a year. Not enjoying Fresno's heat, She moved to Seattle for some college. Worked in a camera store developing film. A girl friend asked why not come to the LA Area. The friend worked in a bank and she needed a loan officer. Lisa was on her way. She dedicated five years of her career to working as a loan officer, living in Costa Mesa.
She moved back to Fresno to give birth to her first son, Mason. She married Dustin Morris and settled in Quail Lake. Soon Julian became a part of the family. Both boys went to Quail Lake Charter School. Lisa had been knitting for a while, and when Mason was in kindergarten she made hats for every child with their names on them. More hats for every one at birthday parties and bigger items, blankets, bed spreads, etc. Those who knew Lisa will remember her gentle spirit, warm heart, and the love she shared with family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her two sons. Mason E. Montgomery, and Julian R. Morris. Mary Frances Montgomery. David and Kristin Montgomery and Family; Susan and Rudy Gonzalves and Family Preceding Lisa in passing: Lt. Col. Darryl E Montgomery; Vincent Walsh; Dustin R. Morris
