Obituary

Linda G. Rose, cherished wife, nurturing mother, and adored grandmother, left us peacefully at the age of 76 on October 18th, 2024. Known for her compassionate heart and steadfast devotion in her Catholic faith, she will be deeply missed.

Born in Woodland, California on December 12, 1947, Linda was the second of six children born to Arcadio and Angelina Arellano, who she has now rejoined in Heaven, along with her youngest brother, Joseph Arellano.

In 1969, while working at Woodland Memorial Hospital as a PBX Operator/Admittance Clerk, Linda encountered Steven T. Rose, an orderly at the same hospital. Although familiar with one another at work, it was at a local dance that their paths truly intertwined. Timid yet captivating, Linda found herself in need of rescue from an unwelcome suitor when Steven gallantly stepped in and asked her to dance — a singular moment that would forever alter both of their destinies. Their love story quickly unfolded, leading to an elopement in Reno, NV, and the start of their family. They welcomed their first son, Steven Thomas Rose, Jr., followed by Christopher Sean Rose, who blessed Linda with the grandchildren she so dearly loved.

While Linda enjoyed shopping, excelled at racquetball, and was a phenomenal cook, her most cherished role was being a grandmother. Jacob, Ella, and Madelynn were the light of her life, and she delighted in sharing stories about them with everyone she knew.

Linda's legacy of generosity, heartfelt warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends will forever be remembered. Though we mourn her absence, we find solace in knowing she is joyously reunited with our Lord and Savior.
