Lee Kent
Walker
January 11, 1950 — May 8, 2025
With deep sorrow but unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Lee Kent Walker, known to many as Kent. Born on January 11, 1950, in Fresno, CA, Kent was called home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2025, at the age of 75. A devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, and cherished friend, Kent was a faithful servant of God and a proud veteran of the Army, having served in Vietnam and later stateside.
Kent dedicated his life to his family and to walking in the light of Christ. His strength, wisdom, and unwavering belief in God's plan were a guiding force for all who knew him. He was a long-time member of Sierra Hills Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee, and participated in various ministries. He was also active with the Gideons International Ministry for over 36 years, passionately serving and distributing thousands of Bibles.
After leaving the army, Kent worked at several TV and radio shops in Fresno before starting his own business, Walker Electronics, in 1978. He later joined Pelco in Clovis as a security camera repair technician, retiring in 2017 after a distinguished career.
Kent is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Penny, his children Leah Lee, Paul, and Matthew, and his brother Harley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Walker, and his sister, Barbara Diaz.
A celebration of his life will be held on May 24, 2025, at 10:30am at Sierra Hills Baptist Church in Tollhouse, CA. The Military Honors Ceremony will begin at 10:30am, followed by a memorial service and luncheon. All are invited to share in prayer, memories, and celebration of a wonderful man.
Rest easy, Kent. You were missed the second you went to heaven and will always be in our lives, guiding us as you always have. May your soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
