Kenneth Albert Byers
Kenneth Albert Byers, born on May 28, 1931, in Oakland, California, passed away on February 15, 2025, in Fresno, California. He was 93 years old.
Kenneth was born and raised in Oakland, where he proudly served in the California Air National Guard beginning in 1950. He quickly earned the nickname "Skinny Kenny" and became well-known among his peers. In 1955, he transferred to Fresno with the Air National Guard, where he continued his service and dedicated career until his retirement in 1989.
Kenneth was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an avid bowler, a passionate fan of aircraft, and a dedicated follower of NASCAR racing. He also cherished his time with the Indian Maidens father/daughter group, where he formed many treasured memories with his family. Above all, Kenneth was a devoted husband and father, always ready with a comforting hug or a wise word when needed.
Kenneth is survived by his four loving daughters: Reann Stepp, Dawn Mashburn, Dae Paula Saulnier, and Michelle Caskey, as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 at Clovis Funeral Chapel, located at 1302 Clovis Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.
Graveside services will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at 305 N. Villa Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612. (Clovis Cemetery)
Kenneth will be remembered for his service, his love for his family, and the legacy of kindness and humor he leaves behind.
