James Michael McCall
February 28, 1991 – April 10, 2026

James Michael McCall, 35, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2026, leaving behind a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Born on February 28, 1991, in Clovis, California, James grew up with a strong spirit and a love for hands-on work. He graduated from Grizzly Youth Academy in San Luis Obispo in December 2008, an accomplishment that reflected his determination and resilience.

James dedicated 14 years of his life to his work with IBEW Local Union 1245 and Operating Engineers Local Union 3. He took pride in what he did, valuing hard work and the sense of purpose it gave him.

Outside of work, James found joy in the simple things that brought him peace and excitement. He loved working on his trucks and spending time with anything that had a motor. Whether fixing, building, or just tinkering, it was where he felt most at home. He also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats, showing a softer side that many cherished.

More than anything, James will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the bonds he shared with those closest to him. He is survived by his mother, Julie (Charlie) Matthews; his father, Randy McCall; his sister, Jacquelyn (Dwayne) Jeffrey; his grandfather, Ronald Beck; and many other loving family members and friends. His presence, laughter, and spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A funeral service will be held at Clovis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 30th at 10:30 a.m., followed by his burial at Clovis Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his grandmother, Martha "Sissy" Sheets.
