She was born on June 26, 1951, in Firebaugh, California, and was raised in Mendota, California, amidst the love of her devoted parents, Alfredo and Esperanza Sanchez, who together embraced the challenge of raising 12 children, with Helen being their cherished daughter.

Helen's life was a testament to the beauty of family and love. She found her soulmate in Frank J. Perez, with whom she shared a devoted partnership filled with laughter and shared dreams. Together, they welcomed their loving children into the world—daughter Monica Flores and son Frank R. Perez—who became the pride of her life, along with their three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Helen was a pillar of strength and compassion, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who poured her heart and soul into her family.
