Genaro Cordova , age 65, of Clovis, California, passed away on December 15, 2025.

Genaro was born on August 7, 1960, in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico to Ernestina Soto Cordova and Rodolfo Cordova. He spent his childhood in Patterson, California, and was a graduate of Patterson High School. A devoted son, he maintained a close and loving bond with his family throughout his life.

Genaro earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and dedicated his professional career to public service. He worked for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as a Field Representative for the Southwest Region for DLA Troop Support. In this role, he supported the Navy, Army, Air Force, school districts, and Indian Tribal Organizations, utilizing FFAVORS to ensure essential resources reached those in need. His work reflected a deep commitment to serving underserved school districts and tribal communities across the western United States.

He found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren and was known as a devoted and loving family man. He never missed a Sunday visit with his mother in Firebaugh, a tradition that meant a great deal to him. A loyal sports fan, Genaro enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams: the Rams, Lakers, and Dodgers.

Known for having the biggest heart, Genaro was one of the sweetest and kindest men you could ever meet, someone who would truly do anything for anyone. He also had a unique and unforgettable sense of humor. Genaro was genuinely funny, with an animated way of telling stories that could light up a room. His laughter, expressive storytelling, and joy brought warmth to everyone around him and created memories that will be cherished forever.

A natural problem-solver, Genaro loved fixing things and was a skilled handyman with a gift for figuring things out. A knowledgeable botanist, he took great pride in tending to his fruit trees and maintaining the pool. He was also the family's grill master and an exceptional cook, always bringing people together through his meals.

Above all else, Genaro was completely devoted to his family. He was the best soccer dad, an exceptional grandfather, a beloved uncle, and someone who gave 110% in everything he did, always putting his loved ones first.

Genaro was preceded in death by his father, Rodolfo Cordova, and his sister, Grace Sanchez.

He is survived by his daughters, Jessica Cordova, Jasmine Cordova, and Erica Cordova; their mother, Christina Cordova; his beloved grandchildren, Joanna Chavez, Amara Chavez, and Serena Chavez; his mother, Ernestina Soto Cordova; and his siblings, Javier Cordova, Sergio Cordova, and Rudy Cordova, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Clovis Funeral Chapel, followed by a Rosary from 6:00–7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Clovis.
Graveside services will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Fresno, with a reception to follow.

Genaro fue precedido en la muerte por su padre, Rodolfo Cordova, y su hermana, Grace Sanchez.

La velación se llevará a cabo el miércoles 7 de Enero, de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m., en Clovis Funeral Chapel, seguida del Santo Rosario de 6:00 a 7:00 p.m.
La Misa Funeral se celebrará el jueves 8 de Enero, a las 11:00 a.m., en la iglesia Our Lady of Perpetual Help en Clovis.
El sepelio se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio St. Peter's en Fresno, seguido de una recepción.
