Ernesto R. Dela Cruz, a beloved 65-year-old resident of Fresno, California, passed away on March 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 15, 1960, in the Philippines, Ernesto's early life was marked by the loss of his parents. Despite this, he remained a devoted sacristan at St. Ignatius Cathedral in the Philippines. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ernesto will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Ernesto worked as a manager for the top fast-food chains and later as a Dietary Aide for Horizon Health and Sub-acute Center. Known for his strength, humor, and unwavering dedication, he left an indelible mark on those around him.
One of the things he truly liked was vlogging, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. These moments brought him joy and connection, often filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and memories that will be fondly remembered.
Ernesto is survived by his five loving children: Joanne, Carmelli, Michaelangelo, Jo Christ, and Peter. They were the pride and joy of his life, along with their mother, Cristina. As a proud grandpa, he loved spending time with his grandkids, Carmelo, Maximus, and Cali. He was also a beloved father with his daughter-in-law Theresa, and son-in-law, Mark. Ernesto's family was his greatest treasure, and he delighted in every moment spent with them.
Viewing will be held on April 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clovis Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will take place on April 8, 2026, at 9:00 am at St. John Cathedral in Fresno. Interment will follow at Clovis Cemetery, followed by a reception. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend and celebrate Ernesto's life.
Ernesto will be remembered for his love, guidance, and the lasting impact he had on his family and friends.
