Obituary

Dominic Victor Panico passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home in Fresno, CA.

Dominic was born to Gregory and Sandra Panico on Tuesday, September 21, 1999, in Fresno, California. He was the youngest of four children. He was baptized Catholic, with his godparents being Maria Villa-Jimenez and John Thomas. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Clark Intermediate, and Clovis High for a while, but completed his high school diploma at Clovis Adult School in 2019.

In 2023, he attended trade school to become an HVAC technician and graduated 18 months later. He worked at Me and Ed's in Selma to get through school and until he found a job. Dominic became a father to a little girl, Coraline Ann Panico, on November 21, 2023.

Dominic was the baby of the family. His sister and he were less than a year apart, which made them the same age for five days. When he was a young child, he had a spunk about him. He would talk about random topics, which earned him the nickname "Professor." He would stand on the doghouse in the backyard and preach about whatever topic was on his mind. He and some of his cousins were always getting into trouble—lighting fireworks, hiding and scaring people, or going to the store without letting anyone know.

If you were to ask him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he would tell you he wanted to be a beach bum. He was going to figure life out as long as he was at the beach. He was a sneaky kid but often charmed his way out of trouble. Life started to change for him after his parents divorced, and especially after his mom passed in 2011. He coped in his own way and began to hide things. His friends became his family, and he ventured out into life.

Dominic was a great father. Every chance he got, he was with his daughter. The way her face would light up when playing with him was something special. Being a father was the best thing he had done in his life. The way he talked about her—his tone of voice, his eyes—just sparkled.

Dom loved making people laugh. His charm, dark humor, and kind heart were what brought people together. Dominic had his struggles, just like the rest of us. But one thing about Dom was that he was always there for people. He made friends easily and had many. Friends would come over to hang out, play pool, and spend time together. His friends have many memories that will live on.
