Daby Ives Humbert was born on April 9, 1956 in Patterson, CA the eldest of six children: Debbie, Dabby, Dale (deceased), Dell, and Davey born to Dale and Carol Humbert of Le Grand, CA. 

Daby passed away peacefully at age 70 on August 25, 2026 at his residence, an assisted living facility in Clovis, CA where he had resided for the last 1.5 years. 

Daby is survived by Charmel, his loving wife of 41 years, daughter Keri, and her husband Jeff DeLong, and their five children: Joshua who resides with Jesus, Kinsley, Eliana, Henry, and Lily. He dearly loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to Costco to “stock up” for things they needed and loved watching their soccer games.

 Daby graduated from Merced High School where he played football all four years and in his last year was on the wrestling team. He coached Pee Wee football after high school. He briefly attended Cal Poly University as an architecture major then changed to a construction management major receiving his B.S. degree from California State University Fresno.

 For 30+ years of his career he worked for Zacky Farms first as a draftsman then later as Safety & Environmental Engineering Manager building poultry grower ranches and freezer storage buildings in Fresno County. For the last 10 years he found his position as Senior Environmental Scientist with Yorke Engineering, LLC highly rewarding. 

He was a dedicated and hard worker for 50+ years, but sadly, he was unable to enjoy his retirement due to the steady progression of his illness.

 He attended Peoples Church for many years and accepted the Lord during a Promise Keepers event in Fresno several years ago.

 His favorite football teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Fresno State Bulldogs.
