Obituary

Cheryl Mae Paxton, 79, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2026. Born on September 24, 1946, Cheryl lived a full, vibrant, and love-filled life.

For 55 wonderful years, she shared her life with her devoted husband, Fred. Together they built a beautiful family that was Cheryl's greatest pride and joy. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Kim and Nancy; her three grandchildren, David, Peyton, and Parker; and her three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Lukas, and Murphy.

Cheryl was lively, spunky, and always the heart of any gathering. She never missed a chance to celebrate life, enjoying her weekly bowling league, cherished bunco nights with her girlfriends, and the bi-annual trips to Las Vegas that brought her so much joy. She loved good company, laughter, and making memories with those around her.

Above all, Cheryl's family meant everything to her. As the matriarch, she was the steady center of love, strength, and generosity. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement to those who needed it. Her kindness and warmth touched countless lives. Her sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. While we grieve deeply, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Clovis Funeral Chapel, 1302 Clovis Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Cheryl's memory to the American Cancer Society, an Alzheimer's organization, a suicide prevention organization, or a women's shelter.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
