Obituary

BUFORD DONOVAN TUCKER was born on June 12, 1928, in Culver City, California and passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 96 in Clovis, CA.  He was an army veteran having served in the Korean War.  After being honorably discharged he went to work for Blake Moffitt & Towne Paper Co. as a credit manager for 28 years.  In 1980, he went to work for a friend who started a newly formed company called Mid Valley Packaging & Supply in Fowler and worked there until his retirement in 1993.  He will always be remembered for his stories about his family and the funny jokes he told through the years.  He was a fantastic cook and known for some of our family's favorites of pilaf, enchiladas, and cordon bleu and pumpkin pies.  He loved to travel and took our family on many road trips across the US from day trip excursions to the beach to weeklong trips to Minnesota to see family to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone.  You name it – he had been there.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years Mary Jane in 2017.  Buford is survived by his loving daughter Michele Mazzei and her husband Tim whom he called son; his adored grandchildren, Anthony Mazzei and Mandy Mazzei; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  A graveside service with military honors will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, at 12 Noon.
