Bobby Gene
Garrison
October 7, 1932 — December 3, 2024
Clovis
Bobby Gene Garrison, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 3, 2024, in Clovis, California, at the age of 92. Born on October 7, 1932, in Marshall, Arkansas, to Edward and Blanch Garrison, Bob's family later moved to Arvin, California. It was there that he met the love of his life, Nina, while attending Bakersfield High School. They married on Bob's 18th birthday in 1950, beginning a journey filled with love and companionship.
After serving in the Navy, Bob dedicated his career to the meat industry, starting as a butcher in Bakersfield before becoming a Meat Inspector. In 1969, the family moved to Clovis, where Bob and Nina created a home filled with love, laughter, and countless pets. In 1976, they moved to their property on Greenwood, where they raised cows, sheep, pigs, and a variety of animals. Bob enjoyed his retirement from the USDA, which allowed him to pursue a new passion: raising and selling Koi fish. His dedication to his hobbies and his warm personality helped him forge lasting friendships; he was loved by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Nina; sons George and wife Dana, son Jon; grandchildren Kelly Lee, Brooke Garrison, Kerry Figueroa, and Jon Garrison Jr.; and 14 cherished great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Blanch Garrison, his sister Gwenda Jones, and his brother Fred Garrison.
