Obituary

Bob Dugger, born on July 5, 1933, in Phoenix, AZ, passed away on December 10, 2024, at his home in Clovis, CA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rose Marie for 68 years and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bob was the 12th child of James and Anne Dugger. After moving from Phoenix to Oildale, CA, and later to Healdsburg, CA, he grew up enjoying activities such as fixing and racing cars, swimming, water skiing, and deer hunting with his brothers. He attended school and college in Healdsburg.

In 1952, Bob joined the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Air Police Squadron Canine Section until 1959. He was stationed in various locations, including Korea, North Africa, England, and Japan, and received several commendations for his service.

After his military service, Bob pursued a career in shoe sales, working at Sears, Macy's, Levi's, and Asher Brothers before opening his own store, Clovis Country Shoes. He was known for his dedication to customer service and his passion for shoes.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, often taking them on visits to relatives and engaging in home improvement projects. He had a love for cars and motorcycles, and after retirement, he and Rose Marie enjoyed weekend rides on their Gold Wing touring motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; children Cathy (Chuck), Curtis (Karla), and Christine; grandchildren Stephen, Jared (Meghan), Katy (David), Holly, and Ben; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family, music, and life. His family extends their gratitude to the staff of Hinds Hospice and Right at Home for their care and support.
