In Loving Memory of Alireza Rassouli

Alireza Rassouli, lovingly known to everyone as Ali, was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He was a man of deep faith, compassion, generosity, and love for his family. His kindness touched the lives of many, and his presence brought warmth and love to those fortunate enough to know him.

Ali was born on July 27, 1971, to loving parents, alongside his sister, Monika. In 1979, their lives changed when their family moved to the United States. Because of circumstances beyond their control, Ali and Monika were separated from their parents for approximately four and a half years. During those years, they had only each other. They grew up together, protected one another, and learned from a very young age to rely on each other.

That experience created a bond between Ali and Monika that was unlike any other. They were not only brother and sister, but each other's protectors, companions, and pillars of strength. Through every chapter of life, they remained deeply connected and always knew they could count on one another.

Ali made many sacrifices throughout his life for the people he loved. He stood faithfully by his mother's side throughout her battle with cancer, remaining beside her through surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. He was also there for his father through three heart attacks, standing beside him through each difficult moment until the final heart attack took his father's life.

The loss of both parents was devastating for Ali. As life eventually took Monika farther away, he was once again faced with the feeling of being alone, a feeling that echoed the loneliness they had experienced as children when they were separated from their parents. Despite these hardships, Ali continued to carry on, giving love and support to the people around him.

Ali's faith in Jesus was stronger than ever. He placed his trust in God and found comfort in His love, knowing that his life was ultimately in God's hands. His faith brought him peace and strength, and he remained steadfast in his belief in God's love and promise of eternal life.

Ali spoke openly about his faith and his complete trust in God's will. He understood that while he would fight for his life, ultimately, his life was in God's hands. He shared with Monika that if God chose to use his life as a testimony, he would be obedient and follow His Word. And if God called him home, he asked Monika to never lose her faith or be angry with God.

His words reflected the heart of a man who had come to understand God's love in a profound way. He spoke of God as loving, kind, and compassionate, and reminded Monika that his life had been filled with many blessings. Most importantly, he wanted those he loved to remember that God asks us to love one another and to honor His name.

Ali found comfort and strength in the words of John 3:16:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

These words reflected the faith Ali held so deeply. He wanted his family and friends to hold onto their faith, to love one another, and to trust in God's plan.

Ali was a devoted father who loved his son, Preston, deeply. He was also a loyal friend who made people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. He had a generous heart and would always find ways to help others and bring happiness into their lives. He believed that money, success, prestige, or material possessions did not determine a person's worth. He treated everyone the same, from those who had very little to those who had everything. To Ali, they were all human beings deserving of dignity, kindness, and love.

That was who Ali was.

Ali's greatest legacy is not what he owned or accomplished. It is the people he loved, the lives he touched, the kindness he showed to those who were often overlooked, the faith he shared, and the love he gave so freely. His absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of his family and friends, but the memories he created, the sacrifices he made, and the love he shared will remain forever.

Ali passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 55. Though his time with us was far too short, his life was filled with moments, sacrifices, blessings, and relationships that will continue to live on through everyone who loved him.

He is now reunited with his parents and rests in the loving care of our Heavenly Father. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may God watch over his beloved son, Preston, his sister, Monika, and all those who mourn his passing.

Ali, you will always be loved, always be missed, and never be forgotten. This is not goodbye, my little brother. I’ll see you again.

Love you always.
